Gid Olmsteadformerly of this place has returned from severa; months stay at Prineville,Or. Mr.Clark and family of Vancouver visited at the home of Al Lee on Sunday. Mrs.Jennie Collard of Vancouver visited friends here the first of the week. Miss Teasdale who has been visiting eastern friends all summer has returned and will teach in the Vancouver school this year. On Tuesday evening a pleasant surprise party was given at the home of Mrs. Al Lee in honor of her brother,Gid Olmstead who has just returned from Prineville.The evening was spent in outdoor games and music. There were 75 guests present and all enjoyed a very pleasant evening. Collard & Co. are building an addition totheir greenhouse for th epurpose of raising seeds,and a room for th eboiler for the steam heating apparatus they are installling.
