Henderman San Jose, Cal., Jan.18 EDITOR CAMAS POST- There are doubtless many in Camas and vicinity who remeber the Druck family and will be interested to hear of them. Mr. Druck's flouring mill, it will be remembered, stood near the present site fo the residence building purchased by J.W.Wrigth from Dr. Urie, and was destroyed by fire over twenty years ago. Well, I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. and Mrs. Druck at a sociable last week. After their mill was destroyed in Camas, they moved to Oregon, but soon after the earthquake in 1906, they moved to San Jose, where they have a very beautiful home. Mr. Druck is now retired from business. Through them I met Dr. Johnson, also a former resident of Camas, where he practiced dentistry. On Sunday, the 17th, Mr. and Mrs. Druck took Bertrand and I for a drivein their machine to meet Dr. and Mrs. Johnson. The doctor, who is a jolly, good natured man, and who has retired from the practice of his profession, was much pleased to hear all about Camas and its wonderful growth. He was also much pleased to hear there were still a number of old time friends residing there. Both Mr. Druck and Dr.Johnson asked to be remembered to all the old timers, and I know of no way to deliver the message as quickly and effectively as the POST. Dr. and Mrs. Johnson have a palatial home, one of the late California bungalows, with a 90 foot porch, in the Willows, a beutiful suburb of San Jose. We spent a pleasant winter in thsi lovely valley, and Bertram is much improved. We shall return in the spring to our home in Camas. Wishing you a prosperous New Year, i am , very truly, Miss A.
