Nexstad went to Portland on business last Friday. Jesse Gaither has been visiting with J.K. and Mrs. Gaither for a few days. Commissioner Quarnberg was here on Tuesday, going away on Wednesday. A.D. Brougher said that he put up hay on the hot day and thought it was a little warm but the hay had to be taken care of. Geo. Hale bumped up against a pump handle last Thursday and injured his right eye. He is taking a few days off from work. Vic Martin bought a tract of timber in section five range two and will proceed to move his mill about a mile and a half south of where it is now and wil be ready to cut ties this fall. O.S.Moe, N.R. Rashford and E.S. Johnson have bought a tract of timber on section three and six and are now clearing up a mill site. They have incorporated under the name of the Oakdale Lumber Co. and will soon be doing business.
