Mrs. J.L. Brunbridge is visiting her mother at Ridgefield thiw eek. Mrs. B.M. Hess returned to her home at Corvallis,Oregon,the first of the week.She was accompanied ber sister,Mrs.John Schroeder,who will visit there until some time next week. It is reported that the Vancouver city council has decided to accept one of Andy Carbegie's white elephants. Charlie Pound went to Stevenson yesterday.From that place he expects to go to Spokane a few months. Charlie and Carrie Nelson visited friends a few days this week. Miss Clara Knapp,of Fishers returne home Thirsday evening on No. 1 after visiting a week with Miss near Lacamas. It is reported that the Pickett farm and the Allison farm on prune hill have been sold. Mrss. Mina Doyle of Portland visited her mother ,Mrs. Geo. Myers the first of the week. George Blair and his wife went to Stevenson the first of the wek.They are contemplating moving to that place or to White Salmon. T.S.Woolson has bought the lot on teh southeast corner of Third and Clarke streets,where the Fraternal Brotherhood was contemplating building a hall.Mr.Woolson paid $500 for the lot. George Washington of the Diamond shooting galleryhas installed a small electric lighting plant.he has a two hors epower gasolinme and a thirty light dynamo.he is making lights for the shooting gallery,Haffey's saloon and the Wigwam restuarant. J.T.Self,Justice of the Peace for this precinct,has sent his resignation to the county commissioners three times,and every time they have refused to accept it.It is puzzling to Mr. Self to known how he is going to let loose. Frank Williams arrived home Tuesday morning after spending two weeks in Kalama. F.A. Dole has bought the real estate and insurance business of R.S.Poage,and will conduct the same in the future.He will also have charge of the local telephone system.
