LaCamas Post September 19, 1908
Miss Emma Trenner went to The Dalles Wednesday to spend her vacation.

F.J.Macy and wife went to Salem,oregon,Monday to visit Mr.Macy's relatives and 
to attend the Oregon State Fair.Mrs.Macy will go to Pendleton to visit with 
her parents a few days after her visit at Salem. During Mr.Macy's absence 
theBiesecker & Westhoff store here is in charge of E.S.Biesecker,the senior 
member of the firm.

The establishment of a bank here will be largely due to the efforts of 
F.B.Barnes.He has been working to interest capitaa for some months,and th 
epeople of this town feel duly grateful for hsi efforts.

Rev.Cowdy,of Orchards,and formerly pastor here,has been forced to give up his 
church work for a time,on account of ill health.He will engage in the 
manufacture of umbrellas in Vancouver,that being his trade before he took up 
the workof the ministry.

Mr. and Mrs. Jas Simmons are attending the State Fair at Salem,Oregon this week

Mrs.Sam McKever returned to her home at carlton,Oregon,Tuesday,after visiting 
a week here.

P.H.Kleiver and wife of Woodburn,Oregon,visited here Saturday and 
Sunday.Mrs.Kleiver being a sister to Mrs.Harry Wolover.

W.A.Beal and family of Corvallis,returned home Thursday after visiting with 
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jones a week.Mr.Beal is Mrs.Jones father.
