LaCamas Post October 2, 1908
Mrs.J.H. Ginder of White Salmon will arrive today for a few days visit with 
relatives.

Bates and Fifield have just completed a fien new barn on their dairy ranch 
adjoining town on the east.

Chas. McKever is moving hsi family to The Dalles,as he believes the climate 
there will be beneficial to Mrs.McKever's health.
F.W.Leadbetter is constructing a $10,000 log bungalow on his place at lackamas 
Lake,just north of Cmas. Work is also being done on two artificial ponds which 
will be stocked with trout.

H.C.McLean has a number of old pap ers and books which are becoming 
interesting on account of their ageand historic conenctions.Among them is a 
history of the Bible,which isno doubt two hundred years old,mr.McLean having 
its history in his own family for more than a hundred years.he also has a 
Liuetenant's commission given by his father by Governor Vance of Ohio in 1834.

E.M.Haley is working at carpentering in Portland.

Vernie Anderson and "Happy" McKever have opened up the Wigwam restaurant and 
will guide its detinies in the future.

S.G.Hadley is building a cottage on his River place,a mile west of Camas.

F.B.Barnes last week sold two lots belonging to J.T.Self,to Mrs. A.W. 
Schroyer,who will build a welling at once.

R.Stoller is preparing to build an opera house,fifty by one hundred feet,on 
Fourth street between the Stoller hotel and the Odd fellows building.

Carl Carlson, who went to Spokane a few weeks ago,has returned, but will go to 
Celilo,where he has a contract on government work in removing the obstructions 
to navigation.
