Mrs.M.C.Olds, accompanied by her brother, Mr. Robinson, left Thursday for Downey,Calif.,where they will make their home. Dr.H.C. Barkman and wife are leaving for Raymond,Wn., where the doctor expects to locate for the practice of his profession. The many friends Dr. and Mrs. Barkamn have made during their stay here will be sorry to have them leave. We wish them successin their new location. Dr.Hatfield spent this week at Stevenson. Mrs. G.H. Barbour and son started Thursday to California to spend the winter. Miss Clara Cowan, accompanied by her sister, Mrs. J.H. Ginder, of White Salmon, visited in Portland Tuesday and Wednesday. G.N.Nelson, section boss of the S.P.&S. has been transferred to Vancouver where he will have charge of the yards. He will be succeeded here by Harry Harris of Yacolt. J.W.Myers, of Portland, who is emploed in the building of Mr. Woolson's new hall, took a tumble Wednesday afternoon that might have resulted seriously, while putting the studding in place, he fell about 15 feet alighting on his side and shoulder, bruising him considerably but fortunately no bones were broken.
