Maurice Osgood,a barber who worked in the McDowell shop,went to Wasco Tuesday.He will work for a time in a shop there and will then return to his native state New York. A walk has been built along A.D.Wright's property on Columbia Street near the LaCamas house,this week.This was a much needed improvement and will be much appreciated by those who travel by boat. The patriotic decoration of the Office Saloon is among the best seen this year,and is the result of Bob Terry's artistic ability. Joe Gerber,of Brush Prairie,is celebrating in LaCamas.He lived here formally,and still recognizes the city as home. Ernest Smith has moved into the house on the corner of Fourth and Clarke which he recently bought of C.E.Farrell.,W.Swank who has been occupying the house will build a residence on the northeastern corner of Third and Burton. Postmaster Conn's commission arrived this week,and the office was formerly turnd over to him Wednesday.Mr.Poindexter,the retiring postmaster,will remain with Mr.Conn for a time. Tom Gavon of Seattle is spending a few days here.Mr.Gavan owns considerable property here,not the least of which is a strip of shore land. Attorney W.E.Yates,an attorney of Vancouver,along with Mrs.Yates,visited LaCamas Sunday. George Williams has sold two lots in the vicinity of the Baptist Church to Del VanCamp.Mr.VanCamp will build a residence in the near future.
