James Self has recently sold two lots to F.D.Champlain,two to Emma Trenner and two to Fritz Krohn jr., all of whom will build on them this year,Mr.Camplain having part of the lumber on the ground.Miss Trenner's parent's will return from Portland and reside here. Harry White met with an accident Wednesday morning-or rather the accident overtook him in the shape of a board thrown from an upper story window.His head,being up at the time was the first point of contact.The board contained a nail,which was unconsiderate enough to grate along the side of Mr.White's skull for a considerable distance.It was necessary to have a physiciian to dress the wound. P.Hinz has begun excavating for his new hotel on the corner of Fourth and Burton Streets.It iwll be a building forty eight by sixty,two stories and basement,and will cost approximately $5,000. Roffler Bros. have the contract for building ,and the excavating and sand and gravel work is being done by Newt Blair. Mrs.Sam Cheetman,Mrs.Walling and Mr.Stelter of Washougal were in LaCamas Wednesday. Mrs.Lyle Hosford of Washougal was a LaCamas visitor Monday. Mr. and Mrs. W.C.Warren went to Portland Monday,Mr.Warren returning that evening. Mr.Fernley entertained the Epworth Leaugue Monday evening. Mrs.Chas.Farrel was in Portland Monday.A little later she will announce the opening for spring millinery.Her stock thsi year will be very complete. Ulruch Rofflier has bought of J.Grosskeutz eighty acres of land near Lackamas Lake,paying $2400. The Royal Neighbors held a meeting Friday afternoon and elected Mrs.Tom Lindsay as delegate to attend the state convention to be held at North Yakima. The first shipment of freight sent over the North Bank was the household goods of S.G. Thayer,whose goods were shipped to Ridgefield Monday. L.A. Terry and son have the distinction of loading the first ca. J.P.Lindeman will move to his farm near Rufus ,oreon next week. Mrs.H.Crawford has been quite sick for some time. James Self and John Ough jr. went round the world Sunday reaching home at three o'clock in the afternoon.During the day they visited Troutdale,Gresham,Estacada,Portland,Oregon City and a number of othe rplaces of more or less note.
