Jesse Hill and wife are out visiting their ranch for a while. Mrs.Clique spent a few days visiting in Portland with friends recently. Mr.Charles Bird will give a turkey shoot at hisplace next Saturday. Miss Pearl Norton, who has been visiting at Mill Plain, is at home again. A.J. Staluakeer spent a few days last week down at Norcotta duck hunting. Mrs.Derry has returned from a visit wiht her son, who lives in Klickitat County. Arthur Downs, of Seattle, was visiting with Mr. george Downs and family last Sunday. Mr.Stoddleman, who has purchased the Bartuik place, is out making many necessary improvements. Mr. and Mrs. T.Gregory went ot Kent,Oregon last week to attend the funeral of Mrs.Yeakey, Mrs. gregory's mother. John Gedne and Charles and Theodore Resler went to Lewis rive rfishing and returned with a number of fine salmon. Charles Stonehouse was sick last week but as we heard he ate one hundred oysters on the way out form Vancouver we presume he mustbe better. The Ladies' Aid Society will meet Thursday, this week, at the home of Mrs. ferrill for their monthly tea. A large attendance is requested. The Ladie's Aid Scoety spent a pleasant afternoon last week at the home of Mrs. Caraner. A large attendance is reported and a lot of work was finished. C.O.Rose has been sick but is improving. Earl hall is building a dairy. We are sorry to hear that J.M. Tinker has lost one of his fine Jersey cows, bought recently from the Ladd farm. J.Haagen is making a great improvement clearing his land on th eOld Smith PLace. Mr. Stahl, also, is clearing land. Mrs. Crawford and Mrs. Thoams treated the Ladie's Aid Society to an elaborate luncheon, with a cordial invitation to return, which, of course, was accepted.
