Postmaster Poindexter pleaded guilty to assault before Judge McCredie 
Wednesday and was fined $100. F.J. Macy was the complaining witness and the 
assault occurred about a month ago.Agreement was reached by the parties 
Wednesday morning,and Poindexter agreed to enter a plea of guilty,and no trial 
was held.he was given the minimum fine,but this in addition to the costs will 
be about $200. Both the complainant and the defendant made statements to the 
Judge.Macy claimed the assault was unprovokes,while Poindexter claimed 
provocation.
