F.C. Smith has been working a force of men the past few days, grading and gravelling the lower end of the new street leading to the site of the Mascot dock. Mr. Heitman, who has been at Portland in a hospital on account of injuries received soem time ago by being thrown from a wagon, is home again and is able to walk with the aid of a pair of crutches.
