Reed of Silverton,Oregon, are visiting Mrs. Reed's mother,Mrs.Peterson. Sam Cheetman,who has been managing the Office saloon for E.H.Price,has moved to Washougal. Tom Lindsay,who moved to Portland a few weeks ago,is moving to Bingen,Washington,a town nearly opposite Hood River. Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher of Vancouver are visiting Mr. and Mrs. L.E.Wolfe. Miss Gertie Husby of Portland is visiting her sister,Mrs. Holten. Jack Munyan returned from Montana the first of the week.He will probably go back again and take a railroad contract which will require a year and a half to complete. R.S.Poage left for eastern Oregon Monday evening to start on a route as traveling salesman for the Modern Confectionary Co. of Portland. Wm. Sheahan,superintendent of the Crown Columbia paper mill here,left Saturday for a visit at his old home atBatavia,Ill., and to take a tour through other eastern states. he will be gone about five weeks,and during his absence will probably visit a number of paper mills in the east. The mill is in charge of FRank McGinnin during Mr. Sheahan's absence.
