Store. We are compelled to take this means of answering a false and erroneuos statement condemning the course of the said change. We leave it to your unbiased judgement to consid the following facts: About two years ago, Price Bros. of Oregon City, conceived the idea of branching out. After due investigation they decided to open a bracnh store in this city, with the intention of placing H.I.Prce, a brother, as local manager. Due to the fact that he had made other arrangements Sam Price, a cousin, was appointed in his stead, with a salary of $75.00 per month and half of the net profits. This was placed in his charge without one dollar invested by him. On account of quiet business conditions during the past year, Price Brs. ( who financed this operation) did not feel financially able to continue branch stores and are therefore disposing of them. About two months ago, A.A.Price of Oregon City, notified Sam Price of the firm's desicion and advised him if he wished to retain the store he should make financial arrangments to purchase same.He having failed to raise the money, Price Bros. were compelled to take over the store and turned same over to A.R. Price ( who is not a member of the firm and had $6,500.00 due him from the firm) At the close of the deal A.R.Price says Sam Price a four week's option to raise the necessary funds to take the store off his hands at the same figure. This option is STILL in effect and as a matter of fact Mr. Sam Price is now negotiating with local parties to secure fundsto retain the store. To those who are disinterested and unbiased we ask: Is there ANYTHING unreasonable, unfair or unjust in the above transaction?. PRICE BROS. Per A.R.Price Local Manager State of Washington County of Clark,SS: A.R.Price, being first duly sworn, on oath says that he is the person who made the above affadavit and that the facts stated therein are true. A.R.Price Subscribed and Sworn to before me this 21st day of Janaury,1915 O.F.Johnson Notary Public in and for the State of Washington, residing at Camas.
