Monday Judge Self had three cases and Tuesday one. The first case Monday was that of Geo. Burt charged with being drunk and exposing his person.He pleaded not guilty,but as the evidence was overwhelming he was given ten days and ten dollars. The second case was a state case,but as the Police Judge is also Justice of the Peace,there was no interruption in the session.The unlucky man in this case was FRank Haskins charged with stealing four pounds of butter and three cans of cream from the Porter Bros.&Welch,construction company.Timekeeper Hall,who is an ex attorney,was the compaining witness.Haskins pleaded guilty,but aksed the lenienc of the court as he declared that he was out of money and out of work.He was given the minimum of thirty days in jail. The last case on the docket Monday was a drunk.The marshal tstified that the man was intoxicated but that he was inside and on promising to sin no more he was released. Tuesday John Stnalinas was arrested on a charge of drunkenness,and was fined $10,which he paid.
