J.S.Cox,time keeper for Porter Bros.& Welch left Thursday for Vancouver. Mr.Allen,engineer for the State road has returned and will resume operations expecting to be through by May 1st. Mrs.H.F.Appleby and her cousin,Miss Vera Barlow,will leave for Orting the latter part of the week. L.Stoops has entered suit against the P&S for damages done to his telephone line at the crossing of the Bear Prairie road. D.M.Boardman visited friends north of town Sunday. P.C.Hill who was wprking at Hamilton Creek,was in town Wednesday. Jean Van Goron, Stan;ey Wright and Geo.Stoops left for Vanocuver to work on the steam shovel. Chas.Keep,president of the Clark County Bank,was in town this week. Mis Bessie Probst will leave for Portland Monday to visit her parents, The Misses Lottie Myers and Stella Farrell of Camas were in town Tuesday. E.Ball is erecting a new residence east of town. While on his way to the State road camp,Leland Tate,resident engineer at Washougal met with an accident causing the rig to tip over. Mrs.Leonoa Surber has been spending the last few days visiting relatives in Camas. Carl Burg,superintendent for Porter Bros.&Welch,left fro Vancouver to take charge fo the steam shovel at that place. James Short will build a new house in the near future. Mrs.Olsen will again take charge of Olsen's hotel beginning the first of March. Sidney Jones took charge of the dock Monday,taking T.Duran's place,as he has moved on the farm. Wm. Ramsey has purchased the Fashion Stables. Geo Acker will leave for Hamilton Creek Thursday to work for Jake Surber. Miss M.Buskirk is again working for Mrs.Didier. Glen Wrigth made a trip to Camas Wednesday. Lloyd Cooley left for Jackson Cree Wednesday to work in the logging camp.
