Mrsw. W.W.Looney is quite sick and is confined to bed. Mr. Beveridge made a business trip to Portland one day last week. D.W.Rick recently purchased a fine colt from hsi brother, A.E.Rick, for $200. Miss Beatrice Sill, of Fruit Acres, was a guest of Mrs. Rick Sunday and Monday. Mr. Beveridge and D.W.Rick motored to Fern Prairie Sunday and called on A.E.Rick. Mr. Beveridge butchered 52 fat hogs last week for Vancouver and Portland markets. Mrs. W.W.Looney and friend, Mrs. Conway of Portland, called on Mrs. J.E.Rick on Thursday afternoon. Mr. Case and wife have moved to Tacoma. Sorry to lose them, but wish them success in their new home. The Flynn Furniture Co's auto truck was on the Hill from Vancouver last week with a load of furniture for Mrs. Rick. Mr. Guffnott started for Michigan January 27th, having received word from there that his father was not expected to live. Mr. Beveridge has a runaway last week, but no damage was done. The team with the big wagon ran as far as the Iverson place, where Mr. Iverson stopped there.
