Man Found Dead on Road to Dole
John Monnie, a homesteader near Dole and an employee of the Dole Lumber 
Company, was found dead on the road between Dole Spur and the Lewis River 
yesterday morning by one of the employees of the company. Death was due to 
heart failure.
Monnie's age was about 35 years and it is not known if he has a family or not, 
but it is reported that his parents live near Forest Grove,Ore. They have not 
yet been located.
Coroner Knapp made an investigation of the death and brought the remains in to 
this city, and is holding them for instructions from the relatives.
