LaCamas Post June 27,1908
Wm. Wallace was born near Buffalo,New York,Oct. 28,1851 died at 
LaCamas,Wash,Juune 23,1908. he was married in Allegheny county,Penn.1879 to 
Jennie Prenitce. To them four children were born,three of whom are still 
living. they are Mrs. W.H.Reed of Portland and Chas. and Vernie of this place.
Mr.Wallace with his family came to Vancouver in 1889,working in a mill there 
as head sawyer. in 1896 they came to LaCamas,and have resided here 
since,although durin this time he has worked in mills in various places,hsi 
services being in demand.A severe illness last fall left him in a serious 
condition,and while he has been able at times to wlk on the streets,his eath 
was expected by his friends. he was a member of Harmony lodge No.3, A.O.U.W. 
of Vancouver,and was a Mason,having joine that lodge in the east.
The funeral was held from the family home Thurday in charge of the Knapp 
Undertakers. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Carrick of the 
Presbyterian church.Internemnt in the LaCamas cemetery.
