Vancouver Evening Columbian January 13,1921
A quiet but very interesting wedding was that of Mis Orpha T.Filsinfer and 
George N.Scherer which took place Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock at the home of 
the bride's parents. The Rev.L.K. Grime,pastor of the Kenilworth Prebyterian 
Church officiated.The bride was unattended and the ceremony was witnessed by 
immediate relatives only.
The bride wore a ostume of turquoise blue silk chiffon velvet,and a corsage 
buquet of ophelia roses.
Mrs.Scherer is a poular young lady of this city,and is the daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. J.H.Filsinger of 314 East Twenty Fifth street. For the past two and a 
half years she has been with the Vancouver National Bank as head accountant.
Mr.Scherer is the son of a prominet Ohio family and is the manager of the 
Walkover Boot shop in Portland.
Mr. and Mrs.Scherer will make their future home in Portland
