It is located on Old Mill Creek Road, north of Ocean Beach Highway. A portion of the land claim of Alexander Smith Abernethy, it was first used in 1866 for the burial of his first wife Eliza Harris. Other members of Abernthy family and two children and two adults whose relationship to the family is not known are also buried here. An unconfirmed story is told of the burial of two pets, a monkey and a parrot. A well kept cemetery with no broken stones and a white rail fence surrounding it, it is maintained by the local community.
