Ruby L. Alvord, 96, of Toledo died Jan. 8, 2006.

She was born Oct. 25, 1909, in Tillamook, Ore. to Herman J. and Lena (Hayes) 
Tohl.  She graduated from Tillamook High School and moved to the Toledo area in 
1937.  Mrs. Alvord was a homemaker.

She married James Alvord in June 1937.  He preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Donald Alvord; a sister, Eva Sullivan; several 
stepchildren; four grandchildren; several step-grandchildren, nine great-
grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.

Arrangements are by Fir Lawn Funeral Chapel.
