She was born in Longview WA on July 30th, 1938 to Vernon and Bertha Halverson. Darlene attended both Kelso and Longview schools; she graduated from Kelso in 1956. She was married to Davie E Sweet for 27 years and had 2 sons. Darlene was a loving mother to her boys Dayne and Dru. She most enjoyed being at the cabin on Silver Lake, watching her sons play sports, skiing in the mountains, and she was also a champion bowler. As beautiful as she was, she still knew how to fish, hunt and gold mine in Alaska. Her later years were spent in Long Beach WA, where she married Gene Andrews. Darlene loved the beach, she enjoyed clam digging, gardening and spending time with her sister Karen. She is survived by her husband Gene, sons Dayne and Dru Sweet, her sister Karen and grandchildren; Thomis, Samual and Allison. At Darlene's request there will be no service at this time. There will be a Celebration of her life this summer. Memorial contributions may be made to The Cancer Research Center.
