Janice Amelia Asmussen, 66, of Kirkland, Wash.  died Dec. 20, 2005.

She was born April 12, 1939, in Urbana, Ohio, to Max and Evelyn (Anderson) 
Zimmerman.  She graduated from R.A.Long High School in 1957.  She lived in King 
County for 46 years.  Mrs. Asmussen was a secretary for the State of Washington 
in Children's Services for 17 years.

She married Dick Asmussen on June 28, 1958, in Seattle.  He preceded her in 
death in 2000.

Mrs. Asmussen is survived by a son, Douglas Asmussen; a daughter, Laura 
Asmussen; a sister, Vicky Wilson; and a granddaughter.

A private memorial service will be held.  Private interment will take place at 
Longview Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's 
Hospital and Medical Center  P.O. Box 5371, University Station, Seattle, WA 
98105.

Arrangements are by Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park & Crematory.
