He was born Aug. 31, 1920, in Ball Ground, GA, to Willman Colman and Ruth Mable (Veal) Bailey. Mr. Bailey was bell captain at the Americana Hotel in Miami Beach for 20 years. He retired in 1981 and moved to Longview two years ago. He married Christine Nickolson Aug. 30, 1947, in Miami. She preceded him is death. Survivors include a son, Ronald Bailey; a daughter, Carol Craigmyle; four sisters, Ethel Austin, Geraldine Tucker, Allie Loyd and Eula Davis; a brother, Bill Bailey; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. At his request, no service will be held. Arrangements are by Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park & Crematory.
