Lyle John Bettesworth, 90, of Kelso died Jan. 20, 2006.

He was born Dec. 24, 1915, in Allison, Iowa, to Walter and Estella (Belknap) 
Bettesworth.  He graduated from Vancouver High School.

Mr. Bettesworth served in the Army's transportation service during World War 
II.  He moved to the local area in 1956 and worked as a meat cutter for many 
years.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Bettesworth; three sons, Jack Bettesworth, 
Richard Bettesworth and Jay Bettesworth; a sister, Nadine Buss, four 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

No service will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1425 N.E. 
Irving, No. 100,  Portland, OR 97232.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Columbia Funeral Service.
