She was born January 2nd, 1916 at Horton, Kansas the daughter of Plesent and Rosa (Hathaway) Robertson. Marjorie lived in Longview for 37 years, coming from Hiawatha, Kansas. She married Edgar Lee Blakley September 5th, 1934 in Horton, Kansas. He preceded her in death, as well as three brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter. Marjorie was a mother and housewife, and belonged to the Columbia Heights Baptist Church. Marjorie enjoyed going to church, helping in the nursery on Sunday mornings, and helping with the senior luncheons. She loved babysitting grandchildren and being with family and friends. Marjorie also enjoyed raising chickens and beef, flower and vegetable gardening, cooking, baking, canning and music. Marjorie was a very loving and giving person. She touched the hearts and lives of everyone she came in contact with. She is survived by a sister, Bertha Puvogel of Longview; four sons, Norman (Margaret) Blakley of Crestview, Florida, Warren (Janie) Blakley of Kelso, Plesent (Jill) Blakley of Oakland, Oregon, and Allen (Pam) Blakley of Kalama, Washington; three daughters, Velma Lambert of Hiawatha, Kansas, Darlene Burke, and Nadine (Deane) Bradbury, both of Kelso; 17 grandchildren, 1 stepgrandchild; 21 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2nd, 2006 at Columbia Heights Baptist Church, 3136 Columbia Heights Road, Longview with Gene Anglin officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Community Home Health & Hospice, P.O. Box 2067, Longview, Washington 98632. Green Hills Crematory is in charge of arrangements, and Longview Memorial Park is Marjorie's final resting place.
