June B. Broomhead, 94, of De Kalb, IL, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2006, 
at the Kishwaukee Community Hospital in De Kalb. 

She was born on June 14, 1911 in Murray, Utah, the daughter of Henry and Annie 
(Thompson) Ballard. She married Spencer Davis on June 27, 1934, in Salt Lake 
City, Utah. June had been employed for many years as a bookkeeper and office 
receptionist in a doctor's office. She was a member of the Church of Jesus 
Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sycamore, was the choir director and organist in 
Tacoma, Castle Rock and Vancouver in Washington State, and held many other 
various positions in the church. She is survived by her children, Janice (Dale) 
Sarver of De Kalb, IL, and Rendal (Sue) Broomhead of Heber City, Utah; nine 
grandchildren, Debbie (Rick) Ratajczak, Larry (Cathy) Sarver, Julie (Wayne) 
Earle, Steve (Laurie) Sarver, Cherylnn (Bill) Norman, John (Clara) Broomhead, 
Shauna (Chad) Nielsen, Julaine (Brett) Jolley, and Matthew (Krista) Broomhead; 
29 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and 
nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer, one great-granddaughter, 
Karin, three sisters and five brothers, and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at 
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel on corner of 4th and L. 
Street, with viewing one hour prior to the services. 

Burial will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park in Tacoma, Washington.

A memorial is being established for June B. Broomhead for the Church of Jesus 
Christ of Latter Day Saints Missionary Fund, 675 Fox Avenue, Sycamore, IL
