Sigurd "Sig" Freja Brush, 92, of Kelso, WA died March 21, 2006 in Kelso. She 
was born February 3, 1914 in Raymond, Nebraska to Fridolf J. and Anna Myrtle 
(Fairchild) Carlson. She grew up in Nebraska and lived in Mount Shasta, 
California for over 50 years. She lived in the Kelso/Longview area for the last 
8 years. She married Lester E. Brush in 1931. They were married for 61 years. 
He preceded her in death in 1992. Mrs. Brush was a homemaker. She loved flower 
gardening and being outdoors. She loved sewing and was an excellent seamstress. 
Survivors are son and daughter-in-law, Delbert Dean and Pat Brush of Longview; 
brother, Warren Carlson of Sterling, Colorado; 4 grandchildren, Richard Brush 
of Vancouver, WA, Lester D. Brush of Sisters, OR, Shelly M. Brush of Richmond, 
California and Corinne D. Jarvis of Puyallup, WA; 5 great grandchildren and 3 
great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death along with her husband, 
Lester E. Brush, a son, Gerald A. Brush in 1966, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. A 
Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at 
Mount Shasta Memorial Park, Mount Shasta, California with Don Sheldon, 
officiating. Viewing will be held 9 to 10:30 Wednesday at the Mount Shasta 
Funeral Home. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 
Resource Center, P.O. Box 1, Longview, WA 98632. Arrangements by Steele Chapel 
At Longview Memorial Park and Crematory.
