 Frederick Arnold Buckendahl, 88, of Longview died June 5, 2006. 

He was born Aug. 30, 1917, in Fredericksburg, Iowa, to Ernest and Emma 
(Bantelt) Buckendahl and graduated from high school there. 

Mr. Buckendahl served in the Air Force during World War II. He was a machine 
tender for Longview Fibre Co. from 1940 to 1979. 

He married Marjorie Fae Bravenor in 1938. She preceded him in death in 1986. 

Survivors include two daughters, Lynne Frost and Judy Ashley; two sons, Loren 
Buckendahl and Daryl Buckendahl; his friend and caregiver, Craig Brown; and 
four grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Delaware Plaza. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fred Buckendahl Scholarship Fund, 
care of the Windermere Foundation, 842 Washington Way, Longview, WA 98632. 

Arrangements are by Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park & Crematory.
