He was born July 3, 1937 in Fillmore, California. The son of Hal and Sarah Burlison. He lived in the local area for 7 years, coming from Anchorage, Alaska. Mr. Burlison graduated from Yakima High School and also attended the IBEW Electrical Apprenticeship Program. On September 1, 1983, he married Jeanne Traversy in Anchorage, Alaska. She survives him at home. Gary is also survived by two daughters, Lori ItoWilcox of Concord, California and Stephani Burlison of Concord, California; son, Jeff Burlison of Antioch, California; brother, Bud Burlison of Crockett, California; aunt, Oneta Denson of Richland, Washington; uncle, Claude Denson of Richland, Washington; seven grandsons, Joshua McCarty of San Francisco, California, Jacob McCarty and Justin McCarty both of Redding, California, Jeffrey Burlison, Andrew Burlison and Nate Burlison all of Antioch, California; granddaughter, Ashley Ito of Pittsburgh, California; father, Hal Burlison of Longview; stepson, Roger Iverson of Ketchikan, Alaska; stepdaughter, Renee Obrycki of Seattle, Washington; grandson, Jon Obrycki of Seattle, Washington; granddaughter, Kayla Obrycki of Seattle, Washington; niece, Shannon Burlison of Portland, Oregon; and great nephew, Giovanni Salvatore of Portland, Oregon. Gary worked for 50 years as an IBEW Journeyman Electrician out of Local #302 & Local #1547. During that time he was a wireman, foreman and a general foreman. He retired in 2001. He enjoyed golfing, traveling and reading. During the 20 years that Gary and Jeanne resided in Anchorage, they enjoyed fishing & boating. Gary was a man of many talents. Honesty and loyalty were only a few of his great qualities. He completed a goal in building his & Jeanne's dream home in Kalama. A Celebration of Life Memorial was held at home on Sunday, January 22, 2006.
