Glen moved to Longview three years ago coming from Stockton, California. He graduated from high school in Sacramento, CA in 1938. He attended Sacramento City College. Glen married Muriel on June 26, 1942 in Las Vegas, NV. He was an Air Force Pilot during World War II. He was head of security for the North California Youth Center. He enjoyed flying his own plane and was active in the Senior Center. He and Muriel loved to square dance. He was an avid amateur radio operator and enjoyed wood working and fishing. He and Muriel also enjoyed traveling with their RV Club friends. He was a member of Ruff & Ruffles Square Dance and the Longview-Kelso Elks. Glenn was preceded in death by Muriel in 2004. He is survived by sons, Jerry Cole of Marysville, WA, and Michael Cole of Longview; three granddaughters, Diane Wetmore of Everett, WA, Christine Heaton of Peoria, Arizona, and Tamera Knapp of Rockton, Illinois; two great grandchildren, Bailee and Dylan Wetmore of Everett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial donations can be made to the Longview Senior Center, 1111 Commerce Ave, Longview, WA 98632. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park.
