Jimmie L. Davenport, 69, of Kelso died Dec. 23, 2005.

He was born March 29, 1936, in Kelso to Walter F. and Opal M. (Mitchell) 
Davenport.  Mr. Davenport served in the Army from 1954 to 1956 and was a 
construction laborer through local 791 AFL-CIO for many years.

He married Shirley J. White on June 9, 1956, in Stevenson, Wash.  She survives 
him.  Also surviving are two daughters, Laura Miller and Janet Arbuckle; two 
sons, Jerry Davenport and Jimmie Davenport; four brothers, Digger Davenport, 
David Davenport, Robert Davenport and Frank Davenport; three sisters, Virginia 
Milam, Dorothy Hickman and Sharon Thomas; seven grandchildren; 11 great-
grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
