Richard Wayne Dehning, 70, of Woodland died March 20, 2006. 

He was born Dec. 20, 1935, in Big Springs, Neb., to Harry and Nina (Miller) 
Dehning and attended Woodland High School. 

Mr. Dehning served in the Army and worked for Weyerhaeuser Co. as a timber 
faller for 35 years and a grader operator for eight years. 

He is survived by two sons, Eric Dehning and Tim Dehning; three sisters, Sandra 
Baltazar, Donna Larson and Lola Crooms; three grandchildren; and numerous 
nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Frank Abel Cemetery. The 
viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Woodland Funeral Home. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Cowlitz County Fire District No. 1, P.O. 
Box 10, Woodland, WA 98674.
