Lawrence Melvin Dore passed away on May 2, 2006. 

He was born June 25, 1912 in Sumas, Washington to Mary Ann O'Brien and Ernest 
Andrew Dore. He married Vera Martha Faucett on December 26, 1938 at Perpetual 
Help Catholic Church in Everett, Washington. He worked for 43 years for Great 
Northern Railway. He was a member of the St. Rose Church, Knights of Columbus, 
Fourth Degree, Past Grand Knight, Past Faithful Navigator, Kelso/Longview Elks 
and Brotherhood of Railway Carmen. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. 

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his 
wife, Vera; daughters, Beverly Dore Martin of Longview, and Theresa Dore 
Magruder and husband James of Las Vegas; son, Larry Dore Jr. of Longview; 
brother, John Dore of Norlina, NC, and sister, Jeanette Parker of Bremerton, 
WA. 

A Rosary will be held on Friday, May 5 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Rose. A Funeral 
Service is scheduled for Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Rose with 
reception at the Parish Center immediately following. Committal will be on 
Monday, May 8, at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Everett, WA. Cascade 
Northwest Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
