Lawrence Melvin Dore, 93, of Longview, died May 2, 2006. 

He was born June 25, 1912, in Sumas, Wash., to Mary Ann O'Brien and Ernest 
Andrew Dore. 

Mr. Dore worked for Great Northern Railway for 43 years. 

He married Vera Martha Faucett on Dec. 26, 1938, in Everett. She survives him. 
Also surviving are two daughters, Beverly Martin and Theresa Magruder; a son, 
Larry Dore Jr.; a brother, John Dore; a sister, Jeanette Parker; four 
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. today at St. Rose Catholic Church. A funeral 
service will be held at noon Saturday at the church followed by a reception at 
the parish center. A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Calvary 
Cemetery in Everett. The viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at 
Cascade Northwest Funeral Chapel at Green Hills Memorial Gardens & Crematory.
