Margaret Jane Essman, 80, of Battle Ground, Wash. died Jan. 4, 2006.

She was born April 15, 1925, in Port Angeles, Wash. to Elmer and Marguerite 
(Blais) Wilder. In 1943, she married John Essman in Cheyenne, Wyo. They lived 
in the Kelso area for more than 40 years before moving to the Port Angeles and 
Sequim area, where she resided for 21 years.  They moved to Battle Ground three 
years ago.  Mrs. Essman was a retail clerk for 27 years.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Virginia Essman; two sons, Gary 
Essman and John Essman; three sisters, five grandchildren and five great-
grandsons.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church in 
Battle Ground.  Burial will take place in Port Angeles.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Western and 
Central Washington Chapter, P.O. Box 27088, Seattle, WA 98125-1488.  

Arrangements are by Davie's Cremation, Vancouver.
