Gertrude Fardell age 85, passed away December 16, 2005. 

Gertie was born March 12, 1920 in Hannah, Alberta Canada, to Jack and Emma 
(Fox) Moss. Gertie lived in Longview since 1946. She was married to Jan Fardell 
for 63 years; he preceded her in death March 15, 2005. 

Gertie is survived by sons and daughters in-law, Tony & Sue Fardell of 
Longview, WA, and Kim & Sandy Fardell of Richland, WA. Brothers, Bob Moss of 
Calgary Alberta, Larry Moss of Edmonton Alberta, Tom & Mary Moss of Toronto, 
Canada, and Angus & Shirley Moss of Sorrento, B.C. Sister in-law, Rene Moss of 
Calgary. Grandchildren, Chris and Sharon Fardell of Olympia, WA, Alex Fardell 
of Tacoma, WA, John Fardell of Tacoma, WA, Sean Fardell of Richland, WA, Erin 
Fardell of Richland, WA, and Charissa & Chris Tressler of Rainier, WA., Christy 
Taft of Longview, WA . Great Grandchildren, Connor Fardell, Megan Tressler, 
Caiden Tressler and Douglas Charles Fardell. Foreign Exchange Student, Achim 
Feldtmann of Leubeck, Germany of which she was very fond of. 

Gertie was a clerk at The Hudson Bay Department Store in Canada and was an 
International tour director for several years. She was also a bookkeeper for 
Boeing during WWII. She loved being a homemaker and raising her sons. She spent 
several years managing apartments that she and Jan owned. She enjoyed 
traveling, cooking, golfing, bowling, shopping, and was an avid reader. Gertie 
liked spending time with her Best Friends Elva Phillips of Solvang, CA, and 
Josephine Bowes of Calgary, Alberta. Gertie was a very classy Lady. 

A memorial service will be held at Steele Chapel. Saturday, January 14, 2006. 
1:00 pm. Celebrant Don Sheldon will officiate.

2067, Longview, WA 98632. Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park & Crematory
