Joe L. Goulart, 65, of Clatskanie died June 3, 2006. 

He was born July 10, 1940, in Hanford, Calif., to Joe B. and Mary E. (Azavedo) 
Goulart and attended Hanford schools. 

Mr. Goulart owned and operated a logging company. He retired in 1994. 

He married Betty Jane Horne on July 10, 1960, in Hanford. She survives him. 
Also surviving are six children, Debbie Pettefer, Joe Goulart Jr., Beverly 
Nohr, Jenny Goulart, Alreata Anderson and Nancy Weathers; three brothers, 
Morgan Goulart, Bob Goulart and Billy Goulart; three sisters, Evelyn Tripp, 
Mary Dodd and Kathy Sprauge; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 
numerous nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Goulart home, 74848 
Palm Creek Road, in Clatskanie. 

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Haakinson-Groulx Mortuary, 
Clatskanie.
