He was born Jan. 8, 1921, in Tiger, Wash., to Melvin E. and Mildred (Hanson) Greenamyer. He graduated from Kelso High School in 1939. Mr. Greenamyer served in the Navy during World War II, stationed in Guam. He retired as pulp mill superintendent of Longview Fibre Co. in 1983 after 44 years with the company. On Jan. 11, 1941, he married Edith Price in Kelso. She survives him. Also surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Emert; a son, Burnie Greenamyer; three grandchildren, Erik Emert, Cindy Chapman and Mark Greenamyer; and five great- grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, May 20, at the Kelso Elks. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Home Health & Hospice, P.O. Box 2067, Longview, WA 98632.
