mClifford Nealy Holmes, 80, of Clatskanie died March 14, 2006. 

He was born March 18, 1925, in Clatskanie to Joseph Nealy and Gettie Glea 
(Hand) Holmes and graduated from Clatskanie High School in 1943. 

Mr. Holmes served in the Navy during World War II and was a bleacher man at 
Longview Fibre Company for 30 years. He retired in October 1989. 

He married Sharrol Warren on Dec. 6, 1974. She survives him. Also surviving are 
a son, Michael Holmes; four daughters, Merle Nickelson, Laurie Clifford, Vicki 
Orth and Wendy Peterson; two brothers, Joe Holmes and Dick Holmes; 19 
grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. 

At his request, no service will be held. 

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Haakinson-Groulx Mortuary, 
Clatskanie.
