Hood, of North Las Vegas, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2006, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born in Sacramento, California on March 14, 1946 to Leslie and Irene Hood. He attended school in Sacramento and graduated from high school in Kalama, WA, where his family had settled. He enlisted and served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Harrah's Lake Tahoe for 20 years, during which time he met and married Ann Hurlburt from Willows, California. He transferred to Harrah's Atlantic City and then returned to Las Vegas where he has been employed for 16 years. Besides his wife Ann, he is survived by his two sons, Tyler and Alex of Reno; his mother, Irene of Kelso, WA; three brothers, Bill of Kelso, Rick of Lebanon, OR, and Randy of Galt, CA; and sister, Beverlee Hood of Kelso. He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie and a sister, Barbara. Rob was a devoted husband and father. He was a passionate golfer and sports enthusiast all his life, and took an active and joyful role in the sports activities of his boys. A visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10, both at Palm Mortuary on 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., Las Vegas. Those who wish may make a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, P.O.
