She was born in Paducah, Kentucky on February 23, 1915 to Carroll C. and Ann (Bodkin) Humber. She came to Longview in 1922. She graduated from high school and attended college for 2 years. She was the Assistant to the Personnel Manager at Longview Fibre for 40 years. She enjoyed world travel and was interested in Indian artifacts. She was very generous, supporting many charitable organizations. She was an avid skier and biker. She loved the outdoors. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was on the Salvation Army Advisory Board for 20 years. She is survived by many longtime friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Roberts. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2006 at Steele Chapel At Longview Memorial Park with Reverend Timothy Berg officiating. Private entombment will take place at Longview Memorial Park. Memorial Donations may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1218, Longview, WA 98632.
