Clayton Derald Hyland, 62, a 33-year Longview resident, died January 24, 2006.

He was born in Crookston, Minnesota on July 25, 1943. He was a 1962 graduate of 
Winlock High School and worked as a corrugator at Longview Fibre Box Plant in 
Longview from 1985 until he retired in 2005. Clayton collected cars and loved 
working with old tractors. 

Clayton was married for 39 years to his wife Peggy, who survives him at the 
family home. Also surviving is his mother, Ruby Malarz, Olympia, sons; Brian 
(Vickie) of Kelso, and Gary (Nicole) of Portland, a sister; Carolyn Hennigan, 
Olympia, two grandchildren; Natalie and Noah. 

Graveside services are at Winlock Cemetery on January 28th at 11:00 A.M., with 
Archie Curtis officiating. A reception will follow at the St. Urban Grange. 

Memorials may be made to the Shannon Lewis Heart Fund, PO Box 777, Winlock, WA 
98596. 

Services are under the direction of Cattermole Funeral Home.
