Iona M. Keil, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother passed 
away at 4:40am, Sunday February 12th, 2006. 

She died peacefully, without pain, of natural causes. A devout Christian woman, 
Iona practiced her faith in every aspect of her life. She was born in 
Goldendale WA, September 25th, 1910 and married Otto Keil in 1931 at her family 
home. The couple lived in Goldendale WA, The Dalles OR, Beaverton OR and 
Longview WA during their life together. Otto died in 1987. 

She is survived by her brother, David E. Miller of Wasco, OR; two sons Douglas 
Keil of Stayton, OR and Ronald Keil of Vancouver, WA. In addition to her two 
sons, she has six (6) grandchildren, and seven (7) great-grandchildren.Those 
who knew her would say Iona was a caring and compassionate woman with a great 
capacity to give love. The family would simply say, " she was the best!" 

Services will be held Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 2:00 pm in the Steele 
Chapel at Longview Memorial Park in Longview, WA, 5050 Mt. Soho Rd., phone 360-
423-3880.
