He was 62. Bruce was born June 17, 1943 in Longview, Wash. to Bruce Marshall and Ruth Olivette Keith. He was the oldest son of 12 children. Bruce grew up in Rainier, Ore. where he played on the high school basketball and baseball teams. He graduated from Rainier Union High School in 1961. Bruce served in the US Army as a tank sharpshooter and dog handler from 1962-1965. After the Army, Bruce moved back to Rainier where he met and married Linda Lois Irby in 1966. They had three sons; Barry Allen, 1967, Aaron Marshall, 1971, and Casey McVay, 1975. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1985. Linda preceded him in death in 1988. Bruce later married Betty Ann Larson in 1997. Bruce worked for Bear Creek Corporation for 18 years until his retirement in 2004. Bruce loved gardening, raising Pug dogs, traveling, and spending time fishing with his sons and grand- children. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball and basketball. He faithfully attended every game played by his three sons. Bruce is survived by his wife, Betty A. Keith of Medford; his three sons, Barry A. Keith of Phoenix, Aaron M. Keith of Talent and Casey M. Keith of Medford; his two step-sons, Christopher L. Larson and Ruben C. Miranda, both of Medford; nine grandchildren, Zachary, Jessica, Mikaylah, Sara, Joey, Timothy, Megan, Benjamin, and Chandler; four sisters and three brothers, Barbara Welter of Goble, Ore., Lorraine Mears of Rainier, Ore., Janet Hamilton of Kelso, Wash., Vivian Green of Bellingham, Wash., Larry Keith of Kelso, Wash., Dennis Keith of Medford, Ore., and Ron Keith. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. The memorial service will be held at Eagle Point National Cemetery, 2763 Riley Rd., Eagle Point, Ore. on Monday, May 22, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Rose Valley Funeral Alternative is in charge of arrangements.
