William J. Kolacek Jr., 84, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., died May 8, 2006. 

He was born March 16, 1922, in Chicago to William and Laura (Swatek) Kolacek. 

Mr. Kolacek graduated from Purdue University. He served in the Army's 35th 
Division 60th Combat Engineers and was a engineer for Reynold's Metals until 
retiring in 1982. He moved to Arkansas in 1986. 

He married Dorothy "Dot" McConnell on Aug. 21, 1943, in Glen Ellyn, Ill. She 
survives him. Also surviving are two sons, Tim Kolacek and Greg Kolacek; a 
sister, Jean Kolacek; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 
numerous nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service was held May 11 in Hot Springs Village. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Village Bible Church, 100 Ponderosa 
Way, Hot Springs Village, AR 71909. 

Arrangements were by Caruth Village Funeral Home & Crematory, Hot Springs
