She was born May 7, 1933, in Longview to Almont and Bernice (Eastlick) Maynard. She attended Woodland schools and lived in Longview most of her life. Mrs. Kuning was a homemaker. She married Richard Kuning on Sept. 15, 1956, in Longview. He survives her. Also surviving are two daughters, Ada Hammond and Juanita Gumm; two brothers, Glen Maynard and Ralph Maynard; two sisters, Ethel Stewart and Viva Byorund; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choise. Arrangements are by Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park & Crematory.
