He was born on August 7, 1916 in Ohiowa, Nebraska to William F. and Alvina (Most) Langhorst. He married Margarett (Franck) Langhorst on August 9, 1942. He served our country in WWII in the U.S. Army. He has lived in our local area for the past 58 years. He worked for Central Lumber which became Tolleycraft Boats. Dayle loved fishing, hunting, golf, and travel. He loved people and never met a person he didn't know, starting up conversations with anyone. He leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Madelyn Langhorst of Rochester Hills, Michigan; grandchildren, Erica Lundgren of Denver, Colorado, Brian Langhorst of Rochester Hills, Michigan and Matthew Caldwell of Newport Beach, California; and a sister, Edna Schelbitski of Geneva, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margarett and daughters, Judyne and Patricia. No services will be held at the request of the deceased. Private burial will take place in Nebraska.
