Clinton J. Marabetta Sr. 86, of Kelso died Jan. 9, 2006.

He was born Aug. 3, 1919, in Portland to Chester A. and Madeline (Jones) 
Marabetta.  

He lived in the local area for 55 years.  Mr. Marabetta served in the Army 
during World War II.  He retired from Weyerhaeuser Co. as a lumber loader in 
1984.

He married Gladys Creed on Dec. 21, 1945 in Bennetville, S.C.  She survives 
him.  Also surviving are a son, Clint Marabetta; and daughter Ellen Marabetta; 
eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Green Hills Memorial 
Gardens.

Arrangements are by Cascade Northwest Funeral Chapel at Green Hills Memorial 
Gardens & Crematory.
